Sorry I was right. Warning, the cough lasts forever. Thanks for the book list. Fall is the perfect time for cables. And I loved "When am I ever caught up?" So true.
I'm certainly NEVER going to catch up on everything I have to do, thanks ADHD—I keep being captivated by the new and shiny, and then, every so often, am forced to work on the old and grubby, hello taxes, am working on you, but am taking a break right now to make a comment here. Plus I also NEVER run out of new ideas of things to do, but ALWAYS run out of time to do them!
However, that being said, two years ago, I started to learn to chant from the Torah, using the tropes, which are the musical notation. This is probably as close as I come to meditation, and I work on it almost every day. It's a great practice for pulling me out of the stream of constantly being distracted by that new and shiny and it takes me to a very different place.
On the subject of how many clothes do you need, my answer is—on a daily basis, not very many, although I find that article to be pretty classist—it presupposes a lot of money and/or time spent on upkeep as well as money spent to replace pieces to keep looking trendy. I wear the same jeans until they fall apart and t-shirts I've had for years. I have most of the clothes that I've had for the last 30 years, with a few pieces that I've kept for almost 50, because I can still wear them. I hardly buy any new things except for underwear and socks and the occasional new piece that just yells at me. The only pieces that I get rid of are things that I just don't love enough or absolute rags (although I will admit to a fondness for rags). So that's my answer.
As usual, Sarai, your post is RIGHT ON!! Thanks for all of the inspiration!!
Be Blessed. And YAY FOR GORDY!!
Ha! Gordy says hi. He’s loving his new life (and sister).

Yes, the cough and congestion are lingering!
