I'm part of sketch group that meets once a week all around town. We draw and/or paint for a couple of hours and then have a throw down. What I'm good at is drawing people, either from my head or reproducing images (I'm a costume designer, so I do this all of the time for costume renderings). These sketching meetings are challenging for me because I'm always drawing outside of my comfort zone. I often don't like what I've done, but when I go back and look at my drawings, they often look better to me later on. I always love the work done by my fellow sketchers, regardless of their technical skill level. It's hard for me to give myself that same grace, but I'm working on it.
