That "back to school" mentality -- even in my 70s, this still feels like the time to prepare for a new year. (Much more than January actually!) The sense that anything could happen, new things will happen, and I have a clean notebook and sharpened pencils to meet them!

(and, yes, also blackberries -- the best)

I totally agree, this feels like the real start of the year! I actually feel like having a fresh start mid-year works really well, and another in January!

It’s called the Cetara bag! My dimensions came out a bit different because I used some raffia I got on Amazon. The handle also ended up much longer, but that actually makes it pretty practical. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1476849492/

It’s a really cute pattern. The instructions are ok if you have some experience with crochet, and there are videos.
